DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to welcome back Sommelier Tim Freehan\, 20+ year veteran in the Industry\, as he takes us on a tour of summer wine and food pairings. \nCome have a blast learning about some wonderful varietals and small bites that pair nicely with these wines. Wine and food pairing is an intricate art that requires a keen understanding of the flavors and textures of both.  Come learn the basics to start you on your journey of finding what combinations work best for your palate. \nWine tastings at The Joyful Gourmet are a lot of fun – we’ll sample 6 wines (3 whites and 3 reds)\, have some small bites (not every wine will have a pairing) to learn about food pairings\, then end with time to enjoy a full pour of your favorite and mingle. \nThis will not be a full meal\, so we recommend making a 5 or 5:30pm reservation at one of the MANY terrific restaurants in downtown Libertyville and be here at 7! \n\n\n\n\nWines featured at the tasting will be available for purchase by the bottle at a discount – these will be prices lower than you can get anywhere\, and some amazingly unusual wines that typically fall into the $30-70 range.
