Supper Clubs have regained popularity but the Friday Fish Fry has always been a staple in the state of WI. Libertyville being located just south of this midwestern state I thought we could try our hand at offering our version of a Friday Fish Fry, a more healthier version.
Chef Mario will pan fry versus deep fry, you’ll make your own tartar sauce, he’ll up-do the traditional Cole slaw with Apple & fennel for a sweet & savory version, and add in Potato pancakes instead of French or cottage fries.
You’ll learn how NOT to over cook your fish, the right combination of ‘this and that’ makes a great tartar sauce, and we’ll see how close Mario comes to your grandmothers potato pancake recipe.
