Join us for an evening dedicated to one of the most legendary names in modern winemaking: Paul Hobbs. Known as the “pioneer of terroir,” Paul Hobbs has spent decades mastering the art of the vineyard. We’ve had the pleasure of visiting his beautiful vineyards ourselves, and after seeing the meticulous care and passion that goes into every bottle, we couldn’t wait to bring that experience home to you in Libertyville.
Wine tastings at The Joyful Gourmet are more than just a class—they’re a party! Throughout the night, we will:
Sample 6 Exceptional Wines: 2 Whites and 4 Reds while we explore the diverse, world-class portfolio of Paul Hobbs.
Master the Art of Pairing: Enjoy curated small bites designed to complement specific pours. You’ll learn the “why” behind the flavors, helping you discover what combinations truly sing for your unique palate. Not every wine will have a pairing so please do eat dinner before you join us.
Sip & Mingle: We’ll conclude the evening with a full pour of your favorite wine from the tasting, giving you time to relax and chat with fellow wine lovers.
Found a new favorite? All wines featured during the event will be available for purchase by the bottle or case at exclusive discounts—these are prices lower than you’ll find anywhere else!
Since we will be serving small bites and not a full meal, we highly recommend making a 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM reservation at one of the many incredible restaurants in downtown Libertyville before joining us at 7:00 PM.

If you cannot make your reservation, we do encourage you to attempt to find someone that would enjoy attending. We can only issue a credit for you to attend a future event (6 month expiration). Within 72 hours we are not able to offer a credit as we’ve already incurred food and help costs.
