Beignets, churro donuts, and apple cider donuts are three popular types of donuts. Beignets originate from New Orleans and consist of square shaped pieces of dough that are deep fried and covered in powdered sugar. Churro donuts are a hybrid between a churro and a donut, coated in sugar and cinnamon. Chef Liz will make a Mexican chocolate sauce to dip these donuts in – Yum! Apple cider donuts are a fall favorite, made with apple cider and cinnamon. This donut will be baked.
