This class is for those interested in learning the basic foundation skills to make delicious meals at home from scratch. No more ‘adding hot water and stir’.  From Knife skills to simple desserts to ‘wow’ your friends, these Tuesday classes are a great way to break down the barriers that keep you from enjoying cooking while providing easy to follow recipes and techniques you will use daily. Sign up for individual classes to fit your schedule.Â
4th: Knife Skills. Learn about knives, how to sharpen, types of cuts for vegetables & herbs, uniformity, and the ‘must haves’ for your kitchen. Lite bites and a glass of wine will be served.
11th : Types of cooking; poaching, searing, sautéing, roasting, and proper seasoning.  Menu: Lemon Herb Chicken, Beets, Sea Scallops, Eggs.
18th: Salad Dressings; Vinaigrette, Ranch, Caesar, Understanding Flavor profiles. Â Menu: Weeknight Beef Bolognese, Warm Brussel Sprout Salad
25th: Learn to make Corn and Flour Tortillas  Menu: Sopa Seca Soup, Pork Tacos w/raisins & almonds, Street corn
Nov 1: Learn to make Roux. Menu: Macaroni and Cheese, Pecan Crusted Salmon, Bib Lettuce with Orange vinaigrette, Skillet Apple Pie using a 16″ cast iron pan
8th: Make a quick Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup. Our Pastry Chef Liz will teach you how to make 2 deliciously simple desserts to WOW you friends.
