Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get saucy with us in this hands-on pasta cooking class, where we’ll be whipping up a taste of Italy with a dash of creativity!  Join us for a culinary adventure through the rolling hills of Italy, where we’ll master the art of making fettuccine noodles from scratch and learn two sauces to serve them with.  Oven-roasted tomato sauce with Italian sausage, and a sunflower seed pesto. And because no Italian meal is complete without dessert, we’ll finish with a show-stopping summer berry tiramisu!  And as we say goodbye to our pasta-making pals, remember that the true secret to Italian cooking is not just about the recipe, but about the joy and passion that goes into every dish. So go ahead, get creative with your pasta, and buon appetito!

If you cannot make your reservation, we do encourage you to attempt to find someone that would enjoy attending. We can only issue a credit for you to attend a future event (6 month expiration). Within 72 hours we are not able to offer a credit as we’ve already incurred food and help costs.

Laura Claude

Chef Laura has a diverse background in cultural and culinary arts. Born in an Italian and Korean family, she has a degree in accounting. However, early on in her corporate career, she realized her passion for gastronomy which led her to graduate from Kendall College with a culinary art degree. She worked for various establishments including the Primehouse in River North, and was one of the opening team members of the first Virgin Hotel. Her love language is food and she passionately shares her abundance of culinary mastery with her students. Thanks to her diverse background, her depth in food culture knowledge is limitless. She has a dedicated group of followers who do not miss any opportunity to take her exciting and adventurous classes here at The Joyful Gourmet. When she is not teaching, you will find her in her garden or enjoying time with her children.
