Happy Asian New Year! The traditional new year in Asia is huge festival – a series of days to celebrate with family and friend centered around the official new year marked by the second new moon after the December winter solstice. Here in the midwest the arrival of spring seems a little premature but our Chef Laura, being of Asian heritage would like to celebrate this new year with you by making some of her specialties.
Bibimbap bowls – Clay bowls heated in the oven, add cooked rice to help the rice crisp up around the sides, add in marinated beef, fresh vegetables (Mushrooms, cucumbers, bean sprouts, top with a spicy savory sauce) – super delicious and easy to take this recipe home.
Traditional Steamed Dumplings filled with Pork and Chives.
Coffee and tea will be served.
