Welcome to an intimate Chef’s Table cooking experience with Chef Laura. Settle in with a glass of wine as you relax, learn insider tips and tricks, and enjoy stories from Chef Laura’s journey in the culinary world—all while she prepares a thoughtfully crafted menu before your eyes.

The evening begins with a Mixed Greens Salad accented with shaved carrot, edamame, and a bright sesame vinaigrette. The main course features soy-caramel–glazed salmon, served alongside creamy coconut rice and vibrant yuzu-kissed snap peas. To finish, indulge in a refined dessert of vanilla mochi cake topped with matcha white chocolate mousse, plum wine–marinated strawberries, and a lemon thyme shortbread crumble.

An immersive, delicious evening designed to be savored—one course, one story, and one sip at a time.

Participation Level: Demonstration – Chef’s Table Event: Sit back, take notes and learn new skills while your Chef-Instructor walks you through each course giving you lots of tips and tricks along the way.

If you cannot make your reservation, we do encourage you to attempt to find someone that would enjoy attending. We can only issue a credit for you to attend a future event (6 month expiration). Within 72 hours we are not able to offer a credit as we’ve already incurred food and help costs.

Laura Claude

Chef Laura has a diverse background in cultural and culinary arts. Born in an Italian and Korean family, she has a degree in accounting. However, early on in her corporate career, she realized her passion for gastronomy which led her to graduate from Kendall College with a culinary art degree. She worked for various establishments including the Primehouse in River North, and was one of the opening team members of the first Virgin Hotel. Her love language is food and she passionately shares her abundance of culinary mastery with her students. Thanks to her diverse background, her depth in food culture knowledge is limitless. She has a dedicated group of followers who do not miss any opportunity to take her exciting and adventurous classes here at The Joyful Gourmet. When she is not teaching, you will find her in her garden or enjoying time with her children.
