Join Chef Laura Claude for a Chef’s Table Demonstration cooking class that’s as delicious as it is fun. With her industry insights and enthusiasm, Chef Laura turns the kitchen into a place of connection, learning, and seriously great food.

This class centers around a beautifully balanced Flank Steak menu that highlights bold flavors and simple techniques done well. Guests will enjoy a bright, artichoke salad tossed with crisp romaine, roasted red peppers, shaved parmesan, and a lively red wine vinaigrette. Chef Laura then demonstrates her approach to perfectly marinated flank steak—infused with balsamic richness, cooked to tender perfection, and paired with sweet oven-roasted cherry tomatoes and golden garlic scallop potatoes.

Along the way, Chef Laura shares approachable tips, timing tricks, and flavor-building secrets that make this meal easy to recreate at home—while keeping the experience light, interactive, and joy-filled.

Demonstration – Chef’s Table Event: Sit back, take notes and learn new skills while your Chef-Instructor walks you through each course giving you lots of tips and tricks along the way. If you cannot make your reservation, we do encourage you to attempt to find someone that would enjoy attending. We can only issue a credit for you to attend a future event (6 month expiration). Within 72 hours we are not able to offer a credit as we’ve already incurred food and help costs.

Laura Claude

Chef Laura has a diverse background in cultural and culinary arts. Born in an Italian and Korean family, she has a degree in accounting. However, early on in her corporate career, she realized her passion for gastronomy which led her to graduate from Kendall College with a culinary art degree. She worked for various establishments including the Primehouse in River North, and was one of the opening team members of the first Virgin Hotel. Her love language is food and she passionately shares her abundance of culinary mastery with her students. Thanks to her diverse background, her depth in food culture knowledge is limitless. She has a dedicated group of followers who do not miss any opportunity to take her exciting and adventurous classes here at The Joyful Gourmet. When she is not teaching, you will find her in her garden or enjoying time with her children.
