We are pleased to announce a special event at The Joyful Gourmet! James Beard Award winner and Michelin Star Chef Gale Gand of Food Network Sweet Dreams fame will host a holiday appetizer and dessert demonstration. Get ready for New Years Eve whether you’re staying at home or joining others to bring in the new year (and put this one behind us!). We’ll make 2 appetizers that are crowd pleasers and 2 desserts perfect for sharing – Spinach and Pesto Pull Apart Girasole (Puff Pastry Sunflower), Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Ball in Everything Seeds, Lemon Curd Filled Daisies, and Chocolate Bouchon (Fudgey Chocolate Timbales). And a winter cocktail treat – a Spiced Cranberry Sparkler! Seating will be a combination of kitchen island seats and adjacent high top tables positioned close so that everyone can see, and that we can help everyone keep some spacing and stay healthy for the holidays.
Pastry Chef Gale Gand has two James Beard Awards, opened the Michelin two star restaurant Tru in Chicago, owned Vanilla Bean Bakery, hosts Food Network’s “Sweet Dreams”, and authored 8 books.
