Kids can cook too! Bring your child to The Joyful Gourmet for one of our Summer Camps. The kids will learn kitchen basics, food prep and some knife work, cooking and baking techniques, flavor profiles and bake a bunch of great recipes!
This is a 5 day drop-off series, 10am-12 noon and targeted for kids between the ages of 7-11. The kids will all make all the recipes – some individual work and working in small groups, and will eat lunch each day as part of the camp.
Monday: Knife Skills working with Onions, tomatoes, herbs, cheese. Putting all this together to make Tomato soup, Everything Bagel Tomato Bacon Grilled cheese, Cupcakes
Tuesday: Measuring skills to make individual Cakes and Frosting. Learning to using piping bags to decorate your cake
Wednesday: Breakfast, making Muffin Tin Frittatas, Mini lemon scones with a glaze, Sticky Buns, and Candied Bacon.
Thursday: Chicken Quesadillas with Guacamole, Churro Cookies, Strawberry cheesecake Tacos, Mango Ice Box cake
Friday: Marinara Sauce, Meatballs, Crispy Toasted Ravioli, Garlic bread, Banana pudding.
