Gale Gand is an American pastry chef, cookbook author, and television personality. She has been an executive pastry chef at several high end restaurants in the United States and has won several James Beard Foundation Awards for her work. We are so grateful that she continues to share her passion for pastries through teaching at The Joyful Gourmet!
Learn the iconic traditional Spanish dish, Paella, perfect for a crowd, made by slow cooking short grained rice scented with saffron, then layering in vegetables, chicken AND seafood. To start off the meal we’ll make 2 tapas, Mushrooms Al Ajillo with garlic and red chili flakes and Artichokes Hearts with garlic and parsley. For dessert we’ll make a traditional creamy crustless and burnt Basque Cheesecake, and we’ll whip up a batch of fruited white Sangria. Tastes will be provided.
